Obtaining out-of-the-box links

We received a request from Petsplace to look for new potential referrals in a creative, out-of-the-box way. From a competitive analysis, we saw that mainly blog placements were being achieved and Petsplace wanted to stand out in a crowded market.

Solution by LEQUAL

At the start of the campaign, a link building audit was done to understand the opportunities for Petsplace.nl and Petsplace.be. This way, we quickly found out that there were many media that already wrote about Pets Place without active links.

From this media selection, we started working on an outreach to these parties that LEQUAL already has a partnership with.

Results of the branded citation campaign

We chose to use Pets Place’s brand awareness in the link building campaigns. From analytics, we looked at link potentials and contacted these to obtain citations. By using LEQUAL’s media network here, we created a successful campaign.
